Singular, Eclectic 1910 Frank Lloyd Wright with Lush Private Garden and Ocean Views

This is a roomy, warm Prairie-style house, built completely of gorgeous redwood. The exterior is split cedar shake shingles with a fresh coat of white paint. The surrounding gardens are held by a lush twelve-foot-tall hedge, ensuring privacy and serenity. Birds and bees grace the many fruit trees and sitting areas. It was given to the Aquarian Age in the early 30s and became a New Age cult, complete with a communal garden and the addition of a multi-bed dormitory. After the cult, it was inhabited for years by the same family and was kept largely unchanged. It is gorgeously original, elegantly finessed, and unique. The main floor is graced with an enormous living room with a fireplace, redwood bookshelves, large wooden beams, and a full-width window seat. The other spaces include a generous foyer, a large breakfast room with leaded glass built-in cabinets, a planting room, and a modern kitchen. Upstairs are three bedrooms, all with ensuites. The master bedroom is the size of the living room, surrounded on three sides by large windows. It has an open, beamed cathedral ceiling, and a large sitting area. The attic is a signature of Frank Lloyd Wright, featuring an original Japanese Tatami Room. The entire house has the original hardwood floors. The house works exceedingly well for filming with its large format rooms and single-level wood floors. Every room spills out effortlessly into the garden.
