Victorian House in the heart of Saugerties Village

Built in 1875, we set about restoring this beautiful 150 year old house, to reflect our love of ‘rough luxe’. Over the last 12 years we’ve restored design elements that remind us of bygone times - with hand painted antiqued plaster walls, elaborate tin ceilings, gold leaf accents & a wood burning fireplace to sit by - in a leather club chair, a chesterfield or Ralph Lauren pure wool upholstery. An eclectic mix of Navajo rugs, shearling & tartan throws all add to the relaxed vibe. Antique lighting, with the warm glow of Edison filament bulbs, are throughout the home for a cosy familia feel. The kitchen features a black marble open plan kitchen island to sit around, prepare meals or drink wine! The dining room with a solid oak dining table can comfortably seat 8 people amid the library of design book’s & portraits adorning the walls.   A study area with cast iron desk & captains chair adjoins the dining room with high speed internet.  A closed in rear porch leads to the garden & Weber gas grill for year round alfresco cooking.  The private driveway can fit up to 4 cars so no need for street parking.  Upstairs has 3 bedrooms, 2 King & 1 Queen. The bathroom has a marble mosaic floor, brushed brass fittings from Restoration Hardware, plus a huge walk-in shower & heated towel warmer. The ground floor has an open plan layout. Activities that would work well include filming for movies & TV plus fashion shoots & small Private catering events.
