Wattage Gym Cleaning Process Daily Cleaning Tasks Opening Shift • Front Desk & Lobby: • Wipe down counters, chairs, and door handles with disinfectant. • Ensure hand sanitizer stations are full. • Workout Areas: • Inspect floors for debris and spot clean. • Check and refill disinfecting wipe dispensers. • Restrooms & Locker Rooms: • Wipe down sinks, counters, and mirrors. • Sanitize toilets, urinals, and door handles. • Restock soap, paper towels, and toilet paper. Throughout the Day (Every 2-3 Hours) • Equipment Sanitization: • Spray and wipe down high-touch surfaces (weights, benches, machines). • Encourage members to wipe down equipment after use. • Floors & Mats: • Sweep or vacuum rubber floors and mats. • Spot mop as needed. • Trash Disposal: • Empty garbage bins in gym areas and restrooms. Closing Shift • Deep Cleaning of Equipment: • Disinfect all machines, free weights, and accessories. • Wipe down cardio equipment screens and handles. • Floors: • Mop all rubber floors and disinfect mat areas. • Vacuum carpeted sections. • Restrooms & Locker Rooms: • Deep clean toilets, sinks, and showers. • Mop floors and sanitize lockers.
