Charming Cafe/Boutique Space with Underground Live Music/Event Space

When you first walk through Silvana’s baby blue doors, one of the welcoming staff will quickly introduce you to all its hidden treasures. On the street level, Silvana is a cafe/boutique carrying an ever-changing selection of local and global goods — handmadejewelry from Israel; colorful Ethiopian bags and hats; t-shirts by a Harlem designer; home decor from India; Moroccan rugs and pillow covers; quirky wooden dolls from Burkina Faso. The cafe serves a full menu of Middle Eastern fare (such as falafel, shawarma, and shakshuka), fresh-brewed organic coffee and tea, as well as wine and beer. Sit at one of the vintage, communal-style wooden tables, and you’ll be joined by an eclectic mix of families, students, freelancers, and local characters taking advantage of the free wifi and affordable refreshments in the cafe. In the evening, music drifts from below. Venturing downstairs, you’ll discover a speakeasy-style restaurant/bar/lounge with a nightly lineup of several live bands and a deejay. The cabaret-style tables near the stage are decorated with images that evoke the sights, sounds, and smells of a Middle Eastern market. Towards the back of the lounge the Moroccan-style tray tables are surrounded by long benches and low stools — making it the perfect place to share a few dishes and drinks with new or old friends. Here you can enjoy the same fine food as upstairs, along with one of fourteen craft beers. Juggling all the choices at Silvana, you can satisfy many desires at once. Silvana can accomodate any type of gathering, from small, intimate gatherings in our boutique or cocktail parties, DJ parties, live music performance and more in our donstairs space.
