High Desert Test Sites stewards AZ West and is a nonprofit arts institution that supports and fosters experimental artwork in the Joshua Tree region. All proceeds from A-Z West House rentals will support High Desert Test Sight's mission to create a comprehensive nonprofit art institution offering residencies, workshops, exhibitions, and community-engaged public arts programs.
Outdoor Spaces
The home features three distinct outdoor areas, designed to embrace the surrounding landscape:
• Front Patio – Sunken-style benches facing west, perfect for enjoying the sunset.
• Private Enclosed Yard – Features a lounge area, outdoor bed, soaking tub (seasonal), and shower.
• Boulder-Filled Backyard – Includes a fire pit, shaded seating under a palo verde tree, and trails leading into Joshua Tree National Park.
Bedrooms & Bathrooms
• The primary bedroom features a king bed, built-in storage, and direct access to a lime-plastered ensuite bathroom with an outdoor shower.
• The second bedroom contains a full bed and a small workspace, with shared access to a large office and a second bathroom with a soaking tub. (Note: This room does not have AC and can be warm in summer.)
Kitchen & Dining
• Fully equipped kitchen with premium appliances and custom-made A-Z Containers for serving and dining.
• Dining table for four, positioned next to a wood-burning stove for cozy meals.
