Bu Tea Den is a warehouse speakeasy in Historic South Central, 5 minutes from USC and DTLA. Red lanterns, low light, a projection wall running the length of the room, and two fortune telling machines built from repurposed ATMs. The room comes moody by default and lights up when you need it to.
The machines print a personalized fortune for each guest and feed live visuals to the projection wall. They run during every booking. No other space in LA has them.
The layout is open with movable furniture: seated lounge for 20, mixed for 30, standing reception for 40. Full sound system, high-speed WiFi, street-level access, restroom on site.
Good for: listening parties, music videos, editorial shoots that want shadows instead of seamless paper, intimate dinners, tea ceremonies, sound baths, birthdays, brand events, film locations.
Tea service available on request.
