This architectural studio loft in the heart of Gastown offers a highly filmable, character-rich environment with exposed brick, timber beams, and ceilings reaching approximately 12–14 feet. The space features strong natural light and long sightlines, creating depth and layered backdrops ideal for filming, photography, and creative productions.
The layout includes an open studio with three standing workstations, along with a lounge and meeting area featuring a conference sofa and TV with HDMI connectivity. Multiple zones within the space allow for varied setups, from work scenes to lifestyle shoots, all within a cohesive architectural setting.
A distinctive Japanese-inspired entry sequence with a genkan and tatami mat area provides a unique visual transition. We ask that no outdoor shoes step onto the tatami mats unless properly protected during filming or production.
The interior is curated with Persian rugs, antique solid wood furniture, plants, and a mix of modern local artwork and Japanese scrolls, offering a warm, textured environment that feels authentic rather than staged.
A full kitchen is available, including fridge, dishwasher, dishes, cutlery, espresso and cappuccino machine with grinder, hot water kettle, and running hot and cold water. Additional features include a front entry fountain and a scent infuser for subtle ambient atmosphere.
The space includes three office chairs that are fully functional but show wear.
This studio is well suited for film and photo shoots, interviews, small productions, meetings, and creative work sessions, offering a visually distinctive and flexible setting within one of Vancouver’s most historic neighborhoods.
