A Creative Landmark on Atlanta's Historic Edgewood Avenue
The Atlanta Center for Photography occupies a beautifully restored four-story building in the heart of one of Atlanta's most vibrant historic corridors. Founded as a nonprofit arts organization, ACP has spent years cultivating a space where photography, community, and creativity converge. When you book here, you're supporting a living arts ecosystem with museum-quality exhibitions on view, a curated photography library, and working artist studios upstairs.
The Neighborhood
Edgewood Avenue sits at the crossroads of some of Atlanta's most dynamic neighborhoods--Old Fourth Ward, Inman Park, and Sweet Auburn are all within walking distance, and the Martin Luther King Birth Home and King Center are just two blocks away. Your guests will find themselves surrounded by Michelin-starred restaurants, local coffee shops, bars, murals, and the BeltLine's Eastside Trail and Krog District just minutes away. It's an area with energy and character, easy to explore before or after your event.
The Space
The building offers a flexible, multi-level layout with a rooftop terrace.
The first floor features ACP's gallery and reading room, a striking ground-floor setting with exhibitions on view and shelves lined with books and other ephemera. Available as a standalone rental or as part of a full-building booking, it sets an immediate tone for guests the moment they walk in.
The second floor is the primary rental space, a bright, versatile room ideal for workshops, meetings, small conferences, and community gatherings. It includes a large conference table seating ten, additional chairs for expanded capacity, a large-format monitor for presentations, and flexible furniture arrangements that let you reconfigure the room to suit your needs. Push the table aside and you've got an open floor plan ready for a reception or creative session.
The rooftop terrace is a standout. With a small garden, outdoor furniture, and accessible power for DJs and audio equipment, it's a ready-made setting for parties, receptions, happy hours, and golden-hour gatherings with open sky above you.
Want to take it up a notch? For full-building rentals, ACP's resident studio artists on the third floor can open their working studios to your guests for $150 per artist, a unique, behind-the-scenes experience you won't find at a typical venue. (Subject to artist availability.)
Rentals include electricity, water, and Wi-Fi. Full-building bookings also include kitchen access and the rooftop terrace.
Accessibility Note
The building is located in a historic district and does not have an elevator. The main entrance has a raised single door (33″ wide) with a 5″ threshold; a secondary gallery entrance includes a steel ramp. One all-gender restroom is accessible via a 29.5″ doorway. We're happy to discuss your accessibility needs in advance to help make your event work.
