The Dog Bar is a unique, family-owned indoor/outdoor event space in the heart of Houston’s Montrose area, designed for celebrations, community gatherings, private events, and memorable experiences—with or without your four-legged guests!
Our space is ideal for birthday parties, dog birthdays and gotcha days, showers, networking events, happy hours, meetups, workshops, brand activations, content creation, photo shoots, pop-ups, fundraisers, and intimate private celebrations.
The venue features approximately 400 square feet of indoor bar and retail space plus a spacious, fully fenced outdoor patio and turfed dog yard. Guests can easily flow between the indoor bar area, covered deck, patio seating, and yard, allowing different areas to be used for mingling, food and beverage service, activities, vendors, photo opportunities, or event setups.
Outside, you’ll find a turfed yard with Adirondack seating nestled beneath mature shade trees, a large covered shade structure, umbrellas, fans, misters, and patio heaters to help keep guests comfortable in the Houston weather. Festoon lighting creates a warm atmosphere as the sun goes down, making the patio equally inviting for daytime and evening events.
Inside, our cozy bar offers a polished but relaxed atmosphere with beer, wine, ready-to-drink cocktails, zero-proof options, sodas, water, and other beverages available for purchase. For dog-friendly events, we also offer our signature dog menu featuring Puptails, Doggie Sundaes, dog beer, and other treats.
One of the things that makes The Dog Bar especially unique is flexibility. Host an event centered entirely around your dog, bring your pup along to a traditional celebration, or book the space for an event with no dogs at all. We can accommodate a variety of layouts and work with outside vendors, food options, décor, photographers, activations, and other event enhancements.
Whether you're planning an intimate gathering, creative pop-up, private party, or one-of-a-kind dog-friendly event, The Dog Bar offers a casual, welcoming Houston setting that feels much more personal than a traditional event venue.
