Beach House sits atop the bluff at the end of 19th Avenue in the Live Oak District of Santa Cruz. The view, the sound of the surf, the smell of pine and eucalyptus, and the salt air make this a special spot. The house faces the Bay and is flooded with natural light all-day. The great room overlooks Monterey Bay and gives you an unobstructed view of the water and the beach. The great room easily becomes an in-door/out-door space once the glass deck doors are slid away. The Bay, the waves, Monterey peninsula, even the window frames, provide a back drop or focal points for your shots. The en-suite master bedroom space and ground floor bedroom give you separate spaces for hair and make-up prep, changing, and props. There is also space indoors and outside for supplemental lights as desired. The property is surrounded by a 1920s stone wall of river rock and beach rocks. The back yard deck is 275 sq. ft. with a fire pit. The deck and the entry ramp are redwood planks. Both have the Bay and the rock wall as backdrops. If you will be feeding your crew, there is a full kitchen in the great room that is well-equipped for anything from coffee breaks to full sit-down meals. The home has an entry ramp, an elevator, and bathrooms on both floors that are handicap accessible. Stairs to the beach and the tide pools - there are 30 wooden steps - is one block south on 20th Avenue. Free street parking is available during the week.

The housekeeping team cleans the house thoroughly before and after each booking. It is your responsibility to load the dishwasher, wipe the counters, put used linens in the laundry room, and put all trash in the rollers bins on the North side of the house before your leave. An extra $250 cleaning fee will be added if you don’t clean up after your event.
