Marla Rutherford's Studio is a modern, fully outfitted, ADA compliant photo studio and creative space located in the heart of North Boulder. 1,000-sf of open industrial-feel space and high ceilings allow for ample creative freedom. The floors are newly laid concrete with a beautiful dark gray glossy finish. The space is climate controlled and with surround sound sonos. Your rental includes Wi-Fi, use of kitchenette/bathroom, vanity, privacy shades, SONOS sound system, & reserved parking. (Conference tables, padded fold up chairs and projector are available for an additional fee.) The Studio is approximately 1,000 square feet of renovated space available for hourly, half or full day rentals. The studio is available to the general public for small events, business meetings, seminars, or photographers and creatives. The Studio is located North Boulder, Colorado. To the West of the studio is a 5 minute walk to Spruce Confections Coffee and Proto’s Pizza (the best pizza around). To the East is a beautiful dog park where clients and their pets can get some fresh air. Two blocks away is a Holiday Inn Express where out of town renters/attendees can stay, as well as numerous walking/hiking trails for any outdoor activities. STUDIO FEATURES AND AMENITIES LOUNGE SPACE / KITCHENETTE / RESTROOM Upon entering the studio you will enter an open modern space with high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows that face North for constant soft light all day. The lounge in the back of the room behind the wall may be used as space for your clients or for an additional naturally lit shooting area. Our kitchenette was custom-designed to fit the studio space and is equipped with a sink, mini-fridge, microwave and dishwasher. We ask that large groups (5+) bring their own cutlery and dishware to utilize for longer shoots. The Lights above the kitchen table are custom built by local artist Mitch Levin with High Voltage from barrel drums. We welcome you to utilize the most beautifully designed custom bathroom in Boulder -- where the entire design revolved around the funky floor tile. The space is perfectly lit to make your talent feel flawless every time they look in the mirror as well as for a backup vanity station. We offer ample hand sanitizer and lotion for last-minute hydration as well. We constantly strive for ways to improve our environmental footprint and thus use small fresh rolled towels in our restroom instead of paper towels. We also have the most beautiful bathroom door in Boulder which was custom made from maple reclaimed truck flooring by StoneTree Co. The metal hook, lock and custom pieces around the bathroom door were locally made from the Boulder Artist Mitch Levin with High Voltage. The bathroom sink was custom created by local ceramic artist Michael Linsley with Art Drenched Life. SEAMLESS One seamless of any color is included in 1/2 day & full-day rentals. You may add on additional colors (of what we have in stock below) for $35.00 per backdrop. VANITY Our custom-made vanity station will make any hair/makeup artist or talent feel right at home. The vanity table measures 46”x 25” and the oversized mirror 33”x 35”. The vanity is surrounded with bright warm daylight temperature bulbs. GRIP EQUIPMENT (included in your rental).
