This charming boutique building was formerly home and recording studio to the Beastie Boys in their early career. Turn your ideas into realities in the building where some of NYC's most creative artists and startups got their start. Our 4,000 square foot space houses 3 separate studios with separate entrances. The studios feature unique character through its exposed original brick, wooden beams along the ceiling, hardwood floors and natural light. There is an elevator leading into the space, private men's and women's restrooms. Temperature controlled HVAC. The studios may be rented separately as well. 55 Chrystie is ideal for art/photography exhibits, film/photo shoots, production, digital content creation, fashion shows, private events and meetings/conferences. Many public and charter schools are in the neighborhood and this would be great for education/learning pods as well. If additional space is required, there are other studios on the floor and within the building that can be rented for check-in, breakout or storage areas. We are a short 2-minute walk from the Grand Street B/D express trains and half a block from Canal Street which has access to numerous subway lines including J/Z/6/N/R/Q/W/F.
