Restored 19th Century Mansion with Carriage House in Historic District

Our Guest House is a luxurious 19th century home with 7000 SF that is now available as a film, wedding and event venue. This private mansion is surrounded by an acre of landscaped lawns. With elegant furnishings throughout, this sophisticated space offers an authentic setting for film, photography, all types of events, and overnight stays. Built in 1895, the home has been carefully restored and retains almost all of the original features, including century-old fixtures and wallpaper. It is decorated to create a grand yet welcoming space. You can gather for the day in the first floor and outdoor spaces with 50 to 200 event guests. If you want to celebrate with an overnight or longer celebration, the mansion provides five bedrooms and five baths to accommodate up to 15 overnight guests in relaxed comfort. The owner has collected vintage china, crystal, linens, and tableware for use by guests. Tables and chairs for 75+ are available free of charge with all rentals. For film and photography, the four-story property has a variety of settings from the rustic basement and 3rd floor servants quarters to the refined 1st and 2nd floor living spaces. The outdoor gardens feature dozens of mature trees and an 1800 SF carriage house that is a perfect haunted house. A screened porch and two larger porches are outside, along with a wheelchair ramp for easy access to the 1st floor. The home is located on a main thoroughfare in the historic district of a small city. Within several blocks are a small private college with brick buildings, fountains and tree-lined lawns, multiple parks with gazebos and flowers, and a paved biking / jogging trail. Our location is also less than 10 minutes from several Lake Erie beaches, and features easy access to I-90.
