From Dwell Magazine: Built in 1916, the Erlanger House in San Francisco offers a striking English-style grand hall. Just one year after completing the Palace of Fine Arts for the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition, legendary architect Bernard Maybeck set out to design what would become another one of the city's architectural treasures: the Erlanger House. Honoring some of the principles Maybeck helped define for the Arts and Crafts movement, the three-story home effortlessly blends elegant features of English and Japanese influence with meticulously crafted wooden details. The space would work well for still or video shoots. *****Please note that the furniture is slightly different from that depicted some of the pictures. The final two pictures (with gray sofa and blue bench) depict the current layout.*****
