Tropically Inspired Immersive Art Bar & Lounge with HUGE Patio Just Outside of Uptown

Welcome to the Canteen! We'd love to host your next event, corporate get together or party. *Please note, we can host a fully private party only on Monday/Tuesday, or other times are not open* We are located in the Camp North End (CNE) campus adjacent to Uptown Charlotte. CNE is a 76-acre site and we are adjacent to the Boileryard, a 1+ acre open communal space / patio used for festivals, concerts, large food events and parties. We are an operating bar/lounge and have a full menu of local beer, wine by the bottle or glass, house-made sangrias, canned cocktails, seltzers as well as a large selection of non-alcoholic beverages. Our interior space is 1800 sf with art filled walls covered in lively, tropically inspired murals punctuated with a live 15' tall palm tree and a custom green wall. We have a large 10x40 elevated "porch" overlooking the Boileryard. Our setting is both tropical and elegant, open & airy and ready for your event! Our staff is welcoming and accommodating and happy to help make your event perfect! We can accommodate events up to around 70 - 75 people inside and on our terrace + the patio / open area beside us that your guests would have full access to. That space holds events in the hundreds and includes tables, chairs, swings, outdoor games and more. CHILDREN: While our space is certainly kid friendly, we are a bar / lounge and are set up as such. Parties and events need be ADULT CENTERED rather than child centered (i.e. a child's birthday party with mostly children). FOOD Guests are welcome to bring food or set up catering of their choice, we don't have a kitchen or food though we do have plenty of snack options. **We provide all beverage services, no outside beverages permitted** Outdoor bar and bar service also available for 50 - 200 but subject to campus wide calendar availability. Send us a request with your planned activity, date, and number of guests - we can check on availability. OUR BEVERAGES We serve non-alcoholic beverages (regular sodas, craft sodas, kombucha, lemonades, sparkling & still water, cold brew coffee, etc), local draft beers and homemade wine-based sangrias, canned cocktails, sake, wine & various canned and bottled brews. We are known for our frozen Canteen Colada when it's warm out or our special blend mulled wine to knock off the chill of winter nights (sip on one by the wood burning fire pits!). NO OUTSIDE BEVERAGES ALLOWED TO BE BROUGHT IN MUSIC: We have a hardwired system and our music lists are through Spotify - we don't have and aren't set up for DJs inside and outside DJs will have to be approved by Camp North End. If your event is a private event we can play your playlist ***set up through spotify*** through our system with your provided playlist.
