Historic Eclectic Farmhouse on 5 Private Wooded Acres

Hello! We are offering our 1830's historic farmhouse for meetings & events. These rentals occur at the rate of $120/hr for all time in the space (from setup to breakdown) with a 4-hour minimum plus cleaning fee. Generally we accept bookings falling in the range of 7am until 9pm. We seek groups ideally 15 or smaller with option to stay overnight for additional fee (4 bedrooms, sleeps 7). The house provides a combination of old and new: the "Old" house offers a traditionally vintage and rustic feel, and is thoughtfully decorated with many antiques, while a newer addition doubles the space, and has a more modern, bohemian, eclectic aesthetic. Three bedrooms are located in the Old house, while a spacious master bedroom and yoga/study room are located in the new addition. Many plants adorn the entire home, and each room offers an entirely different setting/backdrop. The house also offers two separate entrances, two kitchens, two living rooms, a formal dining room, a nursery, front screened-in porch, and two full bathrooms. The Old house was originally built by Huguenot descendent Tobias Elting, and offers many unique, original/vintage details: antique brass plates and fittings on doors, crown moulding in dining and living areas, ironwork on entry door, 2 (closed-off) fireplaces, unique small closets, cabinets and nooks, original wide-plank flooring, etc. Lots of natural light throughout the house, along with many lamps, providing bright light options in each room. Parlor/living room windows have room-darkening shade/curtain capabilities. The house is situated on the outer edge of New Paltz (only one mile into town!) Location is prime, just 85 miles north of New York City, and minutes from the Thruway. The house is set on 5+ private mostly wooded acres, (a mix of shaded lawn and garden areas, as well as a densely forested backyard with walking paths, large fire pit, and outbuildings). A separate side driveway enables your crew to pull in closely to the house to unload any equipment/supplies. Gravel parking lot safely holds at least 8 vehicles. While the house is very private, it is situated off of a back road, which may occasionally get busy with local traffic during business/rush hours, but shouldn't interrupt the recording of audio/is very quiet otherwise. We offer updated electrical throughout house, plentiful seating areas inside and outside the house (exterior decks/porches), and two large refrigerators for guest usage. Option to rearrange furniture/set dressing throughout house if desired. Occasionally, owners may be on site during events, but out of the way in one of outbuildings/barns.
