Creative Brooklyn Community Art Studio

THE DOJO is Medicine Walls HQ and a space for creatives to come and do their best work. Located in Brooklyn, our artist community is full of friends, mentees and trusted allies. We pair emerging artists with seasoned master artists to learn and sharpen our best practices In design and mural fabrication techniques and applications. We create in an atmosphere of deep care and support for one another. We encourage each other to do our best work, share our knowledges and with some of the finest talent NYC has to offer we push each other to move past our comfort zones and expand our artistry! We prioritize the creative needs of our Black, Brown, Indigenous and LGBTQAI frontline communities and offer sliding scale rates for space usage. 86 The Dojo is a great design and fabrication space for large collaborations and initiatives, individual artists who need space to work on their commissions and our activist network who need space and material to create the visual substance of our most critical social /environmental justice mobilizations and local events. There are two sections of indoor studio space and an outdoor rooftop area where you can work, stretch out, or enjoy a Brooklyn sunset.
