The first floor features a 1400 square foot auditorium (48 by 29 feet) originally built to accommodate town-hall meetings featuring 15 foot ceilings and a stage at one end. Above the stage is a large mural, painted on a wooden canvas that was discovered hidden in the walls of the grand staircase during a restoration. Historic lamps are refurbished and beautifully hung from the ceilings over the stage to accentuate the space. Floors are heart pine from the original construction. The stage wings have been refashioned to accommodate a fully updated kitchen and butler‘s pantry.
