Our Space:
The Legacy Building is Black-owned and operated by husband and wife team. We opened our doors in June of 2022. Our multi-use, multi-level creative space is designed for creators of all kinds. Our space is an inclusive, vibrant, and authentic environment that fosters creativity and provides everything you need to bring your ideas to life. We are creators and artists ourselves. The Legacy Building was birthed out of our own necessity to create.
The layout of our space is divided into five distinct areas: Gallery, Creative Studio, Recording Studio, Rehearsal Room, and Natural Light Studio/Storefront. The space, as a whole, is ideal for events, both intimate and large-scale, however each space is unique and can be used for a variety of activities.
Our Gallery is perfect for exhibitions and showcases, while our Creative Studio is a versatile space that can be used for anything from photo shoots to live music performances. Our Recording Studio is equipped with Pro-tools, Logic and top of the line recording equipment for musicians and podcasters alike, and our Rehearsal Room is perfect for bands and theater groups. Finally, our Natural Light Studio/Storefront is a flexible space that can be used for pop-up shops, poetry readings, and let's in tons of beautiful natural light from the south.
One of our unique features is our Vibe Magazine wall, which showcases iconic covers from the legendary hip-hop publication. In the lower level you'll find our free play arcade as well as the Cloud Room. Another standout feature, offering a cozy and intimate space for meditations, brainstorming sessions and band rehearsals.
In addition to these unique features, we also offer a variety of amenities to help you bring your creative vision to life. The building is fitted with Govee lighting system throughout, allowing you to control the lighting color and brightness. Our mounted paper roll systems, lighting, PA sound amplification, microphones, and backline are all available to use, as well as our projector and podcast setup.
