Nestled in the heart of the enchanting Pocono Mountains, just an 8-minute drive from the serene Lake Wallenpaupack, Casa La Luz awaits as your idyllic escape. More than just a house, it's a haven meticulously designed to sweep you away from the chaos of daily life and reconnect you in the rejuvenating spirit of nature. Built in 1974, Casa La Luz is a 2,750 sq. ft., lovingly renovated mountain retreat in the Pocono Mountains on 3 acres of land. A distinctive red door stands out against the deep green exterior walls, confirming your arrival in a place where tranquility meets beauty. GAME ROOM - SCREENED PORCH - 6 SEAT HOT TUB (open year round) - FIRE PIT - PRIVATE AND TRANQUIL ATMOSPHERE. The space LIVING QUARTERS (1st floor) Enjoy a light-filled open floor plan upstairs on the 1st floor made up of the living room, dining room, kitchen, 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom with shower/tub. LIVING ROOM Watch shows on a 60" smart tv equipped with FireStick or listen to records from the Crosley record player as your group relaxes on a sofa that sits 6, 2 comfy side chairs and a large wooden bench. For a cozy night in you can enjoy the wood burning stove as well if you would like to be sustainable and use less powered heat, we recommend bringing or purchasing indoor firewood to use the wood burning stove that will warm up the whole house. The indoor firewood can be left inside or right outside on the deck. KITCHEN Don't feel like eating out? The kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances: electric stove, dishwasher, microwave, and a fridge. There are cookbooks and all necessary dinnerware, silverware, stemware, and cookware to prepare and serve a home-cooked meal. DINING ROOM Sits up to 8 people around the table plus 3 guests at the kitchen island for a comforting meal or a fun game with family and friends. BATHROOMS Both bathrooms provide complimentary Public Goods shampoo, conditioner, body soap, hand soap and lotion that must remain on property after use. The bathroom on the 2nd floor has a stand up shower and the one on the 1st floor in the living quarters level has a shower/bathtub combo as well as it houses a laundry area for your use. LAUNDRY ROOM Located in the 1st floor bathroom with washer and dryer with complimentary All clear detergent pods. GAMEROOM/FAMILY ROOM (Ground Floor) Enjoy an evening with speakeasy vibes. Equipped with seating for 8, 40" screen tv, board games, dart board, putting golf and bar area for drinks or pizza night. SCREENED IN PORCH The screened in porch provides an outdoor living room to lounge in, a dining set that sits 4, and a dream cloud chair to unwind in while overlooking the backyard. DECK/FIRE PIT AREA Enjoy your day in the theater style deck. On the grass level a cooking grill and a fire pit area that seats 10. *Please do not place grill on deck as it is a fire hazard. HOT TUB AREA Enjoy the hot tub area that seats 6-8 guests. SLEEPING QUARTERS Bedroom 01 (1st Floor) The bedroom has a queen bed, 2 side tables, a dresser, mounted clothing rack and a desk to get work done while gazing out at our 75ft White Oak Trees. Use the desk as your work from home office or as a distance learning classroom equipped with a chair and a desk lamp. Bedroom 02 (2nd Floor - Primary Suite) The bedroom has 1 King size bed, 2 side tables, a large closet and a mirror. There's a queen size sleeper sofa couch to relax with a book and it can also be used to sleep 2 additional guests. Watch tv from bed from the 42" TV with a Firestick. Use the desk as your work from home office or as a distance learning classroom equipped with a chair and a desk lamp. Bedroom 03 (2nd Floor) The bedroom has 2 queen beds, a large closet, 4 side tables and 2 mirrors. ENTERTAINMENT We have free Fast WiFi access throughout the house. If you need a break from electronics, then we also have favorite classic board games and books to keep you entertained in the game room and living room reading nook. A great record collection accompanies our record player, but you can also connect your own music to our Harmon Kardon audio bluetooth system. HEAT & AC HEAT: baseboard heaters are provided in each room and all have their own thermostat. If you would like to be sustainable and use less powered heat, we recommend bringing firewood to use the wood burning stove that will warm up the whole house. A/C: Air conditioner is available in all bedrooms and common area for summer months only. Upper bedrooms have ceiling fans Lower bedroom has standing fan PET FRIENDLY We do welcome pets, ($100 pet fee applies) with the expectation that they not be allowed on the beds or furniture at any time. Please make sure no evidence of them is left behind inside or outside the home. If you do bring your pet, please make sure you have time on the day of checkout to sweep and/or vacuum as necessary to remove any signs of pet hair. We also provide a large kennel and bowls for your convenience. GUEST ACCESS The entire property is available to you, so please make yourself at home. Only areas that are off limits is the shed located in the backyard with a private sign, the garage that has an access point via the ground floor family/game room with a private sign, 2 storage closets with private signs; one which is located in the laundry area and the other in the primary suite closet.
