Welcome to When & Where Studio/Event Space— a 2,200 sq. ft. multi-functional creative venue located in Costa Mesa, California. Our private, spacious, and versatile venue is the perfect canvas for your next gathering. Whether you’re hosting a birthday party, baby shower, meeting, pop-up, art show, workshop, photo shoot, celebration, or small event, the space can easily be customized to fit your needs. The venue consists of two spaces that connected together through double doors to create one larger event space. See the blue print layout in listing photos We recently had the floors refinished and the entire space freshly painted. Front Event Space The front studio is designed as a flexible event and gathering space with unique architectural angles that naturally create separate zones for entertaining, displaying, lounging, or working. Features include: * Private front entrance * Private gender-neutral restroom * Kitchenette * Large refrigerator * Heating & air conditioning * Polished concrete floors * 16 foot ceiling * Unique segmented layout All furniture and amenities shown in the photos — including shelves, tables, chairs, rolling racks, and display pieces — are modular and can be moved around and used as needed for your setup. Back Warehouse Space The back warehouse is approximately 900 sq. ft. with high ceilings and a garage roll-up door that provides beautiful natural lighting. Perfect for: * Photo shoots * Creative productions * Overflow event space * Vendor setups Warehouse features include: * 16 ft ceilings * Private restroom * Separate private entrance from parking lot * Modular furniture and pony walls * Natural light through garage roll-up door Please note: The loft area above the warehouse is off limits to guests. Included Amenities Please also refer to the listing photo labeled “Available Amenities.” Included with your rental: * 3 wood 5-ft tables * 3 white 6-ft tables (can be used as standing or seated tables) * 1 large wood table with benches * 20 white folding chairs * 6 lounge chairs / soft seating * 2 Sonos speakers * WiFi We welcome a wide variety of events and setups. * Free onsite parking and free street parking * Cleaning supplies included * Alcohol permitted * Outside food allowed * Outside vendors welcome * DJ / karaoke friendly * Bounce house / jumper friendly Booking Notes Setup and breakdown time must be included within your reserved rental hours. Based on our experience: * Most events require approximately 2–4 hours for setup * Most events require approximately 1 hour for breakdown Timing may vary depending on décor, vendors, and event complexity. We are always happy to schedule a tour of the space prior to booking. Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space. Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchen, and entrances. Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable. Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.
