Our space is located in Historic Printers Row neighborhood of Chicago, the first residential neighborhood south of the Loop. Populated by low-rise printing factories turned into condos and coops. This is where The Wizard of Oz was printed and where Elliot Ness staked out Al Capone for capture. Narrow quaint streets and independent businesses line the street. Four blocks from the Art Institute, Sears Tower, and Grant Park. The space has been designed by a local architect and includes a mix of seating options including stadium seating, tables and chairs, living room seating and bar seating. Activities that work well in our space are filming before and after hours, meetings, presentations and talks, demonstrations, guest retailers that align with our values for community, sustainability and craft, music, poetry, recruiting. I am a firm believer that wedding days should come with a photographer that takes stress off your plate rather than adding to it, that family and portrait sessions should be fun - not stressful, and that newborn sessions should be beautiful and safe! I promise you that you will only here me say “cheese” during your family’s session if your kids just asked me what my favorite food is. You also won’t see me get frustrated or impatient with your newborn who may not want to immediately settle for me. That’s so normal, and completely okay. If anything, it’s to be expected! As a mom, I understand that kids (and babies) need to have the space to be themselves in order to get the best shot.
