Morella House: garden oasis and single story 1930's house decorated with a colorful mid century modern vibe

Our family has lived in the home for 26 years. We have traveled to Europe, Mexico and South America - my husband is a published entomologist and I'm a landscape designer. We have both put love and energy into making our property a beautiful and peaceful oasis that we excited to share with guests. Our home is in a quiet residential neighborhood that is close to Griffith Park, the Burbank studios, Downtown LA and Hollywood. The house is 1600 sf, 2 bed, 2 bath, kitchen, dining room, living room, and library. There is a unique potting shed turned office space in the back garden. The kitchen, bedroom, and library all have french doors opening onto outside spaces. All of the windows in the house overlook the spacious front or back gardens. All parts of the house (except for the garage) are available for booking. The dining room table seats 4, the kitchen table seats 3, the outdoor lounge area seats 4, the outdoor dining area seats 8. There is a small lounge area outside the office. The front garden has a 1/2 basketball court, which could be used to set up larger tables for a bigger group. The back garden has a fountain and 2 large coral trees. The garden was designed in collaboration with Nicholas Walker, Campion Walker Landscapes and installed in 2020. It features California Native and Mediterranean plants. The property would be great for family gatherings, micro-weddings, photo shoots (interior & exterior), baby showers, luncheons, bar & bat mitzva receptions, quinceaneras.
