The historic Stowell Barn (c. 1798) was beautifully restored in 2021 with the help of Vermont Historic Grant Program funds. Perfect for unique photo shoots, small weddings, yoga retreats or intimate performances, this is a 3-season English-style barn that is 1200 square feet, with a peaked gable height of approximately 30ft. Exposed timber framing with expert craftsmanship by Building Heritage LLC clearly evident throughout. The historic 'scribe rule' method for timber framing was employed in restoring this structure, and the combination of old beams with recently-hewn lumber provides a gorgeous, two-toned wood background that is warm and inviting for gatherings, a beautiful background for photographers, and acoustically unique for musicians. The external cladding is book-matched, wide pine barn board that is complimented by hand-wrought historically accurate iron hardware.
