Clutch Sound & Picture Studios

Clutch is a 2,800 square foot audio and video playground. We have lighting, cameras and sound equipment on site to fit any production. We have a large changing space with a shower and clothing steamer and full length mirror. Spacious green groom and high ceilings to get our 8'X lighting frame where it needs to be. Our kitchen has an espresso latte machine that will save trips to Starbucks! Our 10'X12' garage door makes load in and load out a breeze. Clutch was founded in 2005 by Brian Liston. Needing a better space to serve his clients, Liston moved into the former Smart Studios after Butch Vig (Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, Garbage) sold the studio and moved to California. After several fruitful years of operating out of that historic building, the building was simply too small for modern production. In January 2020, Clutch moved the operation to the new enormous space at 329 Coyier Lane, Madison Wisconsin. Having a load-in door, parking lot, and more studio space has been awesome since we moved in.
