Nestled in a suburb of Lake Arrowhead, appropriately titled "Twin Peaks," is a multifaceted, highly designed set piece with three ever improving sets we've coined "The Reliquary." Enjoy rich gem tones, large dramatic works of art, rare and ornate antiques, intricately hand carved furniture, lush textures and more. The living room set is the main and most flexible space designed with deep greens, richly colored wood, with no detail left unnoticed down to the handmade brackets on our wood beamed ceiling. This set is home to our large statement art pieces as well as some of our prized processions such as the French gothic 19th century chandelier, handmade velvet drapery, a dramatic hutch and hall tree, a cold cast bronze Saint Michael statue, and a scary good gothic gargoyle table. Sharing the main set is the library, a smaller area but packed with interesting history! Real relics are housed in our English gothic china cabinet, a huge selection of antique books stuff the Eastern teak wood bookcase, a quatrefoil lectern sits ready for your speech, and an impressive hand painted Eastern Orthodox icon adorns the wall. This set is best shot in one direction, as our very-much-needs-to-be-redone 1990s kitchen sits directly next to it, so please keep that in while planning any shots. A short jaunt down a dark hallway leads to the "Wine Room" or just plainly the dining set, which takes a break from the gloomy gothic influenced main rooms. With a more baroque style, the Wine Room set features more natural light through satiny wine curtains plucked straight from a retired bordello (kidding), an ornately carved 6 piece dining set, brassy ceiling tiles, a cherubim clad bronze and crystal Italian chandelier, a pocket door to hide the aforementioned needs-work-1990s kitchen, a mostly handmade Victorian inspired faux fireplace, a gorgeous nonworking neoclassical style standing radio wearing an actually working modern gramophone as a hat, and custom made chair railing and hardware by our in house home décor company, Rot & Relic. As mentioned before, parts of this home are yet to be finished, so for a time we're offering preliminary tours for those who would like to get a better feel of the space as we put the finishing touches on the remainder of the main floor. Please contact us to set up a time and date and please keep in mind Twin Peaks is sometimes 1.5 hours from LA - make a day of it and visit The Village at the lake! Other info: For those with allergies: we are a 24/7 live/work household with many feline assistants. We keep our home clean, but for those who have severe allergies, I'm sure you know how dander can travel. For your safety and for the safety of our animals, we will keep them tucked away while you work. Two of the three of our furry employees love a wrap party, so just let us know if you'd like a visit when you finish! Getting ready: we have a half bath you and your crew are welcome to use on the main floor. Prep/makeup may be best to set up in the Wine Room or, if able, outdoors for natural light. We have seating outdoors if that best suits your needs! For bigger jobs such as sfx, there is a shower downstairs we can arrange for you to use for clean up of messier jobs. Pigeon plus! We have a domesticated rock dove, or common pigeon, that is available for shoots should her schedule allow it. This will require an additional fee, her mom on site, and would be best suited for still photos. If she acts like a diva at her call time, we will refund any time you booked for her. Props and wardrobe: If you need assistance with any costume pieces (of the feminine kind) or props, just ask and we may have it. We are directors, editors, stylists, art directors, fabricators - so you never know! We can arrange for that something you just can't find anywhere if you shoot us a message before your booking. Just please care for our items like you'd care for our home. Night Shoots: we are open to them! If your concern is with light control, just let us know before you book - taping our windows up is not beyond the realm of neighborhood embarrassment (we've done it before).
