Our home in Red Hook has hosted shoots for KFC, Gotham Greens, Clio Snacks, Penguin Books, Viking Books, editorial interviews and more. It's a 1,500 sq ft bookable space inside our 2,000 sq ft townhouse, with two full kitchens, a floor-to-ceiling library, a sage-green living room with a working fireplace, and a lush backyard, all flowing openly across the first floor. The space feels like a real home because it is one: lived-in, colorful, book and art-filled, making commercial and editorial work look authentic and not corporate. Activities that work well: • Lifestyle and portrait photography • Food and cooking content — commercials, cookbook shoots, recipe development • Documentary-style interviews and talking-head videos • Product photography with natural lighting • Brand campaigns seeking authentic, lived-in environments • Small team offsites and creative meetings The space, room by room: The colorful kitchen is the heart of the home — blue-green cabinets, a yellow oven, warm butcher-block counters and a farmhouse sink, with a long reclaimed-wood dining table that seats six. Late afternoon light pours in, making it especially good for food shoots. The kitchen flows directly into the dining room, which flows into a warm yellow library with floor-to-ceiling built-in bookshelves. Past the library is a sage-green living room with a working marble fireplace and velvet sofa — sophisticated and intimate. These rooms make striking backdrop for portraits, author interviews, or any shot that needs warmth and texture. A second full kitchen on the second floor is available for craft services, equipment staging, and crew use without disrupting the shoot below, for a small extra fee. The backyard — with climbing greenery, string lights and raised garden beds — is included.
