Rumored to have been designed by a chocolate company founder for his daughter and once home base to an infamous drug lord, the house now combines historic charm with modern amenities, including Ecobee smart technology, Eero mesh WiFi, and plentiful outlets. The space serves as a gathering place, creative studio, and sanctuary for reflection, transformation, and well-being. Global-fusion textiles, community-centered art, and flexible layouts support workshops, meetings, media production, ceremonies, and celebrations. Original herringbone floors, crown molding, and historic detailing provide a rich backdrop to the space’s modern décor and updated features and the house is filled with plentiful soft natural light for photoshoots and media production. A second-floor bedroom with full bath is available for use as a staging area or dressing room. The grounds include a certified monarch waystation, pollinator garden, and nearly 50 indoor plants. Proceeds from guest rentals support carbon removal, and botanical consults or plant cuttings can be requested from the lush trailing purple inchplants on site. Monarch Boulevard hosts all types of values-aligned gatherings, with a focus on retreats and transformative events for community organizations, storytellers, and leaders. We have hosted mission-oriented award-winning chefs, podcast hosts, and fashion brand photoshoots. The home is substance-free, alcohol-free, and shared with a shy senior cat resident.
