Phillips Residence is a 1905 Craftsman home and Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument No. 551, reflecting the Arts & Crafts movement that defined early 20th century American residential design and the early residential history of West Adams. During Prohibition, the home was known as a private entertainment hub, with an attic stage used for live performances.
