Sky Cabin is a modern log cabin designed around an open, light-filled great room with soaring vaulted ceilings, exposed timber framing, expansive windows, and a central wood-burning stove that creates a warm architectural focal point. The flexible open layout flows seamlessly between the living room, dining area, and fully equipped kitchen, making the space well suited for interviews, lifestyle photography, commercial productions, cooking content, social media, editorial shoots, and intimate creative gatherings.
The cabin also includes a main-level bedroom, a loft bedroom overlooking the great room, a full bathroom, and a dedicated workspace, providing a variety of filming angles and staging opportunities within one location. Large windows throughout the cabin bring in abundant natural light while showcasing the surrounding forest and mountain landscape in every season.
Outside, guests have access to a covered front porch, outdoor dining area, fire pit with Adirondack seating, hammock, charcoal grill, and private wooded surroundings. The peaceful mountaintop setting offers excellent privacy with minimal ambient noise, while the property's location in a designated dark-sky area provides exceptional opportunities for evening photography and nighttime productions.
High-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the cabin, along with on-site parking and convenient access for loading production equipment. The property comfortably accommodates productions ranging from solo creators to small commercial crews.
For larger productions requiring additional filming locations or crew accommodations, our neighboring Drummond Cabin—our original 1970s rustic log cabin—is located just a short walk away and may also be rented. Together, the two cabins provide two distinctly different cabin aesthetics on the same private mountain property while maintaining ample separation and privacy.
