Welcome to The Garage SFO. This 3000 sq. ft. modern warehouse offers two-stories of open concept space, a roof terrace, and an indoor home theatre. A unique location, perfect for your corporate gatherings, workshops and creative productions. The Garage SFO is located right in the centre of the SoMa neighbourhood - a short walking distance to Union Square and the Financial District. Major freeways and transportation are also easily accessible. The space comfortably fits 50 to 80 people. There are 2 restrooms on site. Additional chairs folding and tables as well as use of our Epson projector, wifi, AppleTV and Sonos surround sound are available. There is a paid parking lot at the corner of 6th Street and Folsom. We have a driveway for unloading. Guests are welcome to arrange their own catering as we do not offer this service. Rates may vary if booking requests extend beyond the business hours of 8am - 5pm, Monday thru Friday. Closing time is 11pm.
All booking start and end times are inclusive of set-up and clean-up time. Party inquires will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Flat rates may apply. Please note we get many rental inquiries, and only work with those organizations and artists who will be respectful of our special space and the furnishings within it. Bag all trash (bags are provided) and return furniture back to original position at the end of event; Otherwise a $200 cleaning fee may apply.
The space is great and well-appointed. I used the space to host a "friendsgiving" sit down dinner for 32 people and it was perfect. Helen, the host, was response, arrived on time to let me in and provided good instructions for using all the equipment. I will definitely use this space again.
Great space and perfect for what I was looking for! I threw my mom a birthday party and everyone loved the way it turned out. Helen was super helpful in getting everything set up and being available for walk-through(s) with me and the caterer. She was also very flexible and willing to work with us to make sure we got what we wanted. There's a couple different areas that can be used and the basic tables and chairs are good supplements. We had 30 guests plus the caterer (about 35 ppl total) and easily fit in the main area for cocktails and seated dinner. If we opted to do cocktails upstairs, we probably could have fit another 10-15. Only (minor) downside was the stairs - there's a couple big ones to navigate before entering the main area and going upstairs has a steep/narrow staircase. Not ideal for young or old people (or anyone in too high of heels!).
Held an offsite for my 30-person creative team here and it was a great fit - enough space to bring in outside vendors for team-building activities and inspiring areas for us to break into smaller working groups. Helen was easy to work with and made sure that we had everything that we needed.
I've booked several offsites and workshops at Helen's space. It has become my "go-to" spot for my company events. Helen is fantastic to work with and this venue is comfortable, unique, and a favorite amongst the teams I support!
