This 1928 converted warehouse has an industrial and intimate feel. The venue offers a main and hallway gallery, 3 multipurpose and differently sized classrooms, and theater performance space. Each space offers a unique experience and is flexible and modular to accommodate your needs. The events that we have had consist of concerts, theater and dance performances, fundraisers, parties, film screenings, film/photo shoots, weddings, workshops, conferences, meetings, book readings, and anything else you can think of! The theater stage doubles as a dance floor, and an elevated, hardwood floor and mirrors with retractable curtain make it an ideal space to rehearse and perform. The theater has wonderful acoustics and is equipped with basic sound reinforcement (2 mounted PAs and 16-channel analog mixer) and a modest stage lighting grid. Other features include mounted projector and screen, a 6-foot baby grand piano, padded chairs (to be set up by renter), and folding tables as needed. We are located in the Arts District of Downtown Los Angeles, a small arts and industrial neighborhood filled with street art. All property belonging to Renter, Renter’s invitees, guests, agents and sub-contractors, and all equipment shall be delivered, set up, and removed on the day of the event during the stated time frame. Should the renter need earlier access for setup purposes, this can be arranged for an additional fee. The Renter is ultimately responsible for property belonging to the Renter’s invitees, guests, agents and sub-contractors. Renter is responsible for all setup including chairs, tables and other furniture or equipment. We own a limited number of tables and chairs, which may be used at no additional charge. We do not provide linens or table coverings. Clean Up. Renter shall be responsible for returning the venue to the state that it was provided to them. All decorations, props, rented furniture, and personal belongings must be removed at the end of the event. All property belonging to Renter, Renter’s invitees, guests, agents and sub-contractors, shall be removed by the end of the rental period. Should the renter need special consideration for the removal of property beyond the rental period, this can be arranged prior to the beginning of the event and may require an additional fee. The Renter agrees to occupy the premises and shall keep the same in good condition, reasonable wear and tear accepted, and shall not make any alterations thereon without the written consent of the owner. Catered food is allowed but no cooking inside the venue. Propane, gas burners, hot plates or BBQ equipment are not permitted. Small sterno type devices are allowed. Alcohol - We do not allow onsite without an ABC temporary permit. We do not have a license to sell alcohol on site. Inquire for more information about acquiring such a permit. Noise Ordinance. Renter agrees not to use the premises in such a manner as to disturb the peace and quiet of other renters in the building. Quiet hours are from 10:00pm to 10:00am Sunday through Wednesday, 11:00pm to 10:00am on Thursday, 12:00am to 10:00am Friday and Saturday. All Friday and Saturday night shows must end by 11:30PM. The theater must be cleaned and vacated by 12AM or an additional $100 penalty fee will be requested. Renter further agrees not to maintain a public nuisance. All amplified sound must stop 30 minutes prior to quiet hours and all attendees need to vacate at the time of the quiet hours. All booking start and end times are inclusive of set up and clean up time.
Guests may cancel their Booking until 7 days before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price. Guests may cancel their Booking between 7 days and 24 hours before the event start time and receive a 50% refund (excluding Fees) of their Booking Price. Booking cancellations submitted less than 24 hours before the Event start time are not refundable. Learn more
Production Designer / Producer
We had a blest shooting in this location. The space is big and unique. Perfect for our "standup comedy show" stage. John was there as much as we needed him. We answered all our questions, and helped us out with stage lighting/audio, etc. They allowed us to use chairs/tables/etc. Will definitely have them in mind for our next shoot. THANKS!
