Our venue was established in 2007 as an adaptive use venue in the center of LA. Located on the edge of Koreatown, convenient to all freeways, we are housed in a 95 year-old brick building with tons of character and history. When renting from us you are given full access to the entire ground floor building and have free reign to utilize the rooms as needed. The main room, our warehouse, has distressed brick walls, concrete floors, a skylight, two shuttered windows, and tall ceilings. You can enter through a pedestrian alley from the street. The adjacent annex has a restored 1920s vintage wall, more exposed brick, wood-plank, back lit walls, and cinematic hallway. An additional production room, lobby, and outdoor courtyard all have their own unique looks and functionality. Included in the rental is power, WIFI, track lighting, four fully stocked bathrooms, bar tops, refrigeration, ladders, as well as chairs and tables. And most importantly, all rooms have AIR CONDITIONING! But this isn’t just about our building. It is about EXPRESSING YOUR VISION! Let us help you make it happen! Feel free to contact us for more questions or to arrange a scout of our venue. We promise to make your booking a productive, hassle-free success! Michael + Monk Space are THE BEST. The nicest and most accommodating folks out there -- and the warehouse room is super photogenic. Would give 10 stars if I could.
One of the best experiences I’ve had at a studio space. Michael was an incredible host. He even let me borrow some lights and helped set things up. I’ve shot in studio spaces all over this city for years and no one has been as hospitable as Michael. He’s a very kind person and cares about his work. The power inside the building is all new and the walls all have great textures. It’s a fantastic place to shoot.
