It was a beautiful space and the owner was kind, friendly, and helpful. However, we were shooting with a celebrity and the owner's 'girlfriend (?) snapped unauthorized photos, took selfies, etc. It was very unprofessional. I hate to write this and delayed writing a review because nothing was wrong with the space and the person who owned the space was wonderful. But with photo shoots that are highly confidential, we shouldn't have to fear someone will leak images or information.
We organized a series of musical workshops in Wilson's studio and the space was quite ideal for a group of 15-20 participants with 3 workshop leaders. The space appeared exactly as advertised and was very clean and spacious. We arranged for additional seating through a nearby vendor and Wilson was very helpful in coordinating this. All throughout the process of organizing the event to take place in the studio, Wilson was very responsive to my messages and providing helpful and prompt response.
Perfect all-around studio space!! This space is ideal for so many different types of projects. It has great interior and exterior features, including fantastic exposed brick walls, an awesome deck area, an array of backdrop options, and an excellent industrial looking rooftop. Wilson, one of the owners, was fantastic! He was there the entire time for any questions or sudden equipment needs, and the studio had everything you could need and more. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the AC on a hot June day and a great sound system, including turntable. Wilson and his partners paid attention to every detail in creating this space. The studio has a great, welcoming vibe that made everyone feel comfortable the moment they arrived. I look forward to using this space again. Thanks Wilson!!
Overall, it was a lovely space and everyone was nice to work with...however, I would be aware that it is a 3rd floor walk-up and there is no A/C. Otherwise, it was as anticipated.
I truly enjoyed working on my upcoming music video at this location! The place is beautiful and the host was very helpful! I will definitely come again! DONNA
We had a great experience shooting at Studio 225BK. The facility has lots of support materials and a lighting grid. Wilson was helpful throughout our shoot and the tacos in the neighborhood will knock your socks off.
