Our 800 square foot art gallery features local artists on a monthly rotation, so the space is always unique for events. The open floor plan leaves you with many options for event layout. We are one block from the Castro MUNI station and walking distance from the 33, 35, 37, and 24 bus lines. Street parking only. All proceeds from our gallery rentals goes directly towards sustaining creative arts community in the heart of the Castro! By renting our gallery space you will be directly contributing to promoting and maintaining a place for continued experimentation and community convening for many artists whose work we support through the year.
Space must be left as it was when entered. Cleaning fees apply if not. No kitchen but food and alcohol are welcome. Factor in setup and cleaning time into the rental. Staff will not be responsible for setup of the facility.
This place was great! It had extra chairs and tables for us to use, and it was in an accessible place. The instructions to get into the venue and its accessories (i.e. music) was easy to use! The place was well decorated, clean, and had wonderful artwork. The Safeway right next to it was fortunate. It's perfect for a party of 20-30!
We couldn’t pick a better space to host our Friendsgiving in town! Fabulous venue, well equipped with all we needed, perfect amount of space, and very conveniently located next to a grocery store just in case you are missing anything. The venue is very well lit, filled with plenty of furniture and decor to host any type of event. I will definitely use this place again!!!! The party was a success!!
The hosts were very easy to work with beforehand and answered all my questions. Unfortunately, when I showed up there were no coolers like expected and there were postcards for artists everywhere that we had to remove. I did try to call the hosts during the rental to locate the coolers but were unable to get a hold of them. But Other than that I would say it was very successful and would rent again.
This space was the perfect venue for my daughter's baby shower. It was very clean, comfortable and colorful, with vibrant artwork on display. The furniture and decor gave the space a very unique and trendy vibe. Aviva messaged us with clear instructions on how to unlock the front door. There were several folding tables as well as chairs in the closet for our use, which was a huge plus! Aviva gave us many useful tips that were greatly appreciated, especially since I was planning this from out-of-state. We also utilized the Sonos App which allowed us to play music to fit our theme. Unfortunately, we had a plumbing issue in the restroom, which may certainly not be the fault of the owner. However, I do wish my frantic call/voicemail and text to her had been answered with tips on how to handle the situation. (Aviva did get back to me and apologized for the plumbing issue a day or so later.) Thank goodness the grocery store next door had working restrooms! It was necessary for us to spend extra time cleaning up the restroom floor after our guests departed. I am glad the rental fees go toward the continued support of various artists since I am a strong supporter of the arts. I would also suggest that having an extra trash receptacle in the space would be very practical. All-in-all, it was a very successful baby shower and I was pleased to be able to host this special event in such a wonderful space.
What a charming space!! We booked With Aviva and she was so helpful and communicative. A celebration of life event was hosted at this venue and we received endless amounts of compliments. I would highly recommend this venue.
Amazing space, and a pleasure to do the party there. I would totally go to this space again. Feels like classic San Francisco, and got to meet one of the artists!!
