I discovered this unique location 20 years ago and for approximately 13 of those years, my beloved husband Peter and I undertook much construction, planting including a Koi pond, stands of bamboo, Australian Silver Dollar Eucalyptus trees, as well as a variety of species plants, shrubs and trees, hot tub, 5 mile perimeter walk leading up to the top of Strawberry Hill which, on a clear blue sky day provides a distant view of the Monterey Bay. From the top of the property, the Gavilan mountains are seen in the distance and the lower views of the home itself and the Santa Cruz mountains are no longer visible. The spectacular panoramic view of the Santa Cruz mountains where the home is located reveals strawberry fields in the distance as well Mt. Madonna in the distance. The best way for a production crew to access the space would be to arrive in several small vans. The driveway is 300 feet, paved, one lane road which winds up the hill to the home and driveway area where there is turn around space. A practical way for a production crew to arrive would be in several vans carrying production, lighting equipment etc. Depending on the size of the production crew and shoot itself, I can arrange for tables and chairs, portable restrooms, etc. set up a day before shooting is scheduled. Food and beverages can also be pre-arranged on time for shoot. All outdoor areas would be available for the production shoot although most of the 5 acres is "au natural". I would be present in the background to help things run smoothly and efficiently. There is a locked gate which will be open at arrival and departure times. Living here has spoiled me for the exquisite privacy I enjoy here at Strawberry Hill. One side of the driveway is protected by a green barrier of assorted trees and shrubs keeping a distant neighbor and myself separated and private from each other. The remainder of the 5 acres is bordered by the Elkhorn Sough Foundation holding thousands of acres of surrounding land as natural habitat and wildlife bird sanctuary. To honor my husband's memory, I built a natural Australian plant garden up the hillside which is accessed by 31 steps winding up the hillside made of concrete with Lodi pebbles embedded in the concrete. It reminds me of steps you might find at a state park in Glacier Natl'l Park! Amenities that would be rented here would include Nor Cal portable restrooms (pleasant sink and toilet for Men and Women), tables, chairs, food, and beverages, Clean up fee would be charged. Catering services available for appetizers or sit down. My kitchen would be available. Please contact Peerspace Concierge Team to coordinate additional charges.
