The space was really great for our meeting. Open, airy, fun. John was fantastic at helping with the planning, and very responsive. All in all, it was a great experience.
This space worked out great for us. John was very helpful and reliable, and went above the call of duty when we thought we had forgotten something after we wrapped, he went back to check for us. We recorded sound successfully in the space. Like all NYC interiors that are not specifically designed to block out city noise, there is a fair amount of sirens and such, but no more than any other interior like it. It didn't inhibit our shooting in any appreciable way. The space is very functional and the location is great for people to get to. I would definitely book again.
This was an annoying situation. The space wasn't raw as expected. The room was messy and full of clutter. The building was dirty. The space wasn't the major issue...the host was. I specifically asked about set up/breakdown time and shipping and receiving. We setup in 1.5 hours and broke down in 1 hour which is pretty fast for a pop up shop but ALL the back and forth selective memory was irritating. If you need a photography studio and are coming in with a bag and leaving with a bag...this space will work. It should not be listed as an event space though. I can't even say you get what you pay for because the space I usually use that is directly across the street is a completely different experience for the same rate. I'm not even mad, om just happy it's over. Thank goodness my pop up still went well.
The space is great. Has a great vibe to it. Not too neat freak style clean, yet not messy at all. John is really nice and accommodating. They have a bunch of little things that help production move along very nicely. I would go back.
