This space was the residence of the fifth commander of the Presidio de Santa Barbara, José de la Guerra y Noriega from 1828 until his death in 1858. Descendants of José lived in the home until 1943. The 430 square foot space can accommodate 20 people seated or 50 people standing within its original, 3 foot thick adobe walls. Amenities include small sound system (perfect for singer/songwriters), wine barrel cocktail tables, couch and lounge furniture, and onsite restrooms. The rental rate includes use of the property, its amenities, and the required janitorial/trash hauling. This does not include other essential event services such as catering, furniture set up, wine and bar stock, bar-tending, coordinator/planner, additional table and chair rentals, linens, flowers and any other rented items, etc. ADDITIONAL SERVICES: We can provide a list of preferred vendors for services including: catering, wine and other bar stock, bartenders, DJ’s, bands, coordinators/planners, table/chair rental, linens, flowers, and any other needed rental items.
No smoking on the property. Guests must provide additional insurance and valid permits for all vendors.
Great space! We filmed an interview here and it was super cool. Very rustic and film friendly. John was great, very helpful, accommodating and responsive. All went well and I would definitely book again!
