Our reviews speak for themselves! We are a great venue with a team committed to helping you create the perfect event. Our job is to make you look good! We love parties, fundraisers, film screenings, wedding receptions, corporate off-site and more… We have a PPA license, please let us know if you are planning a ticketed event. Our facility can accommodate up to 180 for a sit-down dinner, play, recital, screening… to 200+ for a stand-up reception. Please note that the posted rental rate is an average, please request a quote for your event. Some weekdays can be lower and most Saturdays higher. We also have special rates for non-profits. Because weddings require special attention to insure a perfect event, wedding planners are encouraged to inquire for wedding rates, which vary depending on day and time of year. See below. Furnishings: We have 220 banquet chairs, six 24”, twenty-six 48” rounds, six 60” rounds, a buffet table and several 6’ tables and two high-tops. Food and Beverage: For catering we have a staging kitchen with 3-compartment sink, commercial refrigerator, ice maker, convection oven, microwave and stainless prep table. There is an extra charge for using the kitchen. We require that all beverage be purchased through our full bar. Our prices range from $3 for soft drinks, $6 to 8 for beer, $7 to 9 for spirits and $6 to 9 for wine. We can do a host bar or cash or credit for guests. Sound, Lights, Stage and Tech: The space features a 16’ x 10’ stage with a simple light plot, board and spotlight. We have video projection capabilities and a wide format screen. We also have several wired and wireless microphones and a plug in play sound system. The venue also has wifi. Depending on the extent of your tech needs there may be an extra charge to have our tech person on-site. Location: We are located in Lakeview on Belmont between Sheffield and Racine. We are two blocks west of the Red, Brown and Purple lines. We are also on multiple 24/7 bus routes. A nearby parking lot is available for an extra charge. The venue has two large bathrooms and two private, unisex bathrooms. There is also a dressing room with iron, steamer, washer and dryer. We always have a staff member and, if needed, bartender available for your event. Please be sure to include any set-up, tear down, and load in/out time you and/or your vendors when making your booking. Please feel free to contact us with any questions. Wedding Packages available and include: -Full use of our venue for 8 hours. -Use of our inventory of tables, chairs, sound and lights, a complete inventory list is available on our website. -Wireless internet -Private dressing room and bathrooms for bridal party. -On-site planning meeting in which we create a timeline for your event, plan how the venue will be set and to address any questions or special needs. -A dedicated staff person who will work with you to ensure all of your expectations are met and your wedding goes off without a hitch! -On site staff person for your event. -Bar packages starting at $21 per person for three hours. Not available to be used as a concert venue. Your booking includes one site visit prior to your event; be sure you have identified everyone who will need to see the space before you schedule your pre-event visit. Additional site visits that require we schedule a staff person to open the facility are billed at $50 for the first hour and $20 for each additional hour. Your booking should also include any time needed for you and your vendors to load in and out. If you arrive early or stay late we are required to bill you for the additional time. Be sure everyone involved with your event knows glitter (or decorations made with glitter), confetti, rice, bird seed… are FORBIDDEN to be used in the venue. If any of the above are used in the venue a $350 cleaning fee will be added to your rent. Be sure everyone involved with your event knows that no tape other than painters tape may be used on any surface in the venue. If any damaging results a touch up fee of $250 will be added to your rent. Be sure everyone involved with your event knows that NO SMOKING of any kind is allowed in the facility. A $250 fee will be added to your rent if there is any smoking in the facility. Be sure everyone involved with your event knows that NO OUTSIDE BEVERAGES of any kind are allowed in the facility. A $250 fee will be added to your rent if there are any outside beverages consumed in the facility. We have an excellent sound system and require DJs to use our amplification.
Guests may cancel their Booking until 90 days before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price. Guests may cancel their Booking between 90 days and 14 days before the event start time and receive a 50% refund (excluding Fees) of their Booking Price. Cancellations submitted less than 14 days before the Event start time are not refundable. Learn more

We could not be happier with how well and amazing Our wedding was at Chicago Theatre Works! Bill and his staff were amazing! I highly highly recommend for any party, wedding or gathering! Bill answered every one of our 100s of questions or concerns! Space was perfect and had everything we needed! Our wedding went off amazinigly and Bill was so helpful along with staff. We had last minute changes and we were allowed to adjust those changes. My husband and I couldnt be happier with everything!
The best day of my life was at Chicago Theater Works. I booked a wedding package. This venue is absolutely amazing. Large and open with exposed brick. Bill and Lisa are one of a kind and a treasure to work with. Don't be fooled by the photos. The space is large with high ceilings! The lighting can be dimmed for a romantic feel. It is absolutely BEAUTIFUL and a great canvas for your creativity. I received numerous compliments on how wonderful the venue is. My guests were blown away. The location is ideal for transportation and the cool city vibes will definitely impress your guests! Save yourself the stress and book your wedding here. The space has tables, chairs, sound system, bar, lights, private bridal room, and a stage. There is a kitchen and a large prep area. Your caterer will be very pleased. You can easily book an impressive bar package. I can't thank Bill and Lisa enough! They were very kind, fast to respond, and open to all my ideas. Fantastic venue space! The host, Bill is great to work with! This is our 2nd time renting this space for an annual Vegan Prom fundraising event. We love this space and hope to do more events here in the future.
