Emma D. booked a music video shoot for 20 people
The space worked very well for what we were trying to accomplish, there are a lot of different areas to film in. Parking in the area is tricky but we managed to find street parking, if you need a lot just be sure to budget for that as the nearby lots charge extra for trucks. Otherwise everything was great - we loved all the separated areas for glam, holding, kitchen. Lisa, the stage manager on site, was very helpful throughout the day in answering our questions and ensuring that we had everything we needed at all times. We had an excellent shoot day!
Jonathan R. booked a video shoot for 15 people
Host was very responsive and easy to communicate with. The space was nice but it was not organized as it looks in the pictures which kind of threw off production. Other than that, it was good.
Marco P. booked a production for 25 people
PROS: The multiple backdrops in one location was great. We used all 3 painted walls, the brick wall and even the dressing area to build our set. Available lighting package. We booked the full $600 package and it came in very handy for the sets we built around each wall. Furniture in the studio is chic and cool. We were able to use some of it to build our set. Stage/location manager on site for the entire day. We worked with Lisa, she was kind and helpful. Fully functional kitchen & refrigerator. Plenty of lounge area for the cast to take a break and eat. CONS: PARKING. While you might get lucky and find a four-hour meter (this is the most affordable option) there is an advertised $10 lot around the corner that will charge you double if you are working in the studio. They will ask you where you live, and how long you will be there even though their sign says "$10 parking all day." If you try to say you are not at the studio, when you leave, the parking attendant will follow you. When you go back to get your keys, he will charge you to get your keys back. Save some time and spend the money to budget for a minimum $20 parking, sometimes more. The guy will charge whatever he wants regardless of their $10 sign that does not have any fine print, and then will tell you "if you don't like it, park somewhere else." He wouldn't even let some of our crew park after I walked off set to try and pay for everything in cash. This does not reflect my opinion of the space. However, parking is important when working... Especially if you are low budget and self-funded. This situation ate up at least one hour of our time, while we tried to figure out how to get our cast parked and back to the location so we could keep filming. In the future, I'll plan differently when it comes to parking at this location. The parking is probably the only thing I don't like about this location and will keep into consideration when booking again. The pros of this spot are good though. It's only because of the parking difficulty we had that I will give this experience 4 stars and not 5.
