The photography and video production studio in The Kansas City Crossroads Arts District offers nearly 2,000 sq/ft of 16' ceilings with a large 20’ x 14’ infinite white cyc wall with a white 20' x 16' floorspace or a chroma green/blues screen. The main production space also has a full kitchen. Full lighting grid with plenty of power. Load in is easy at the ground floor or via the back alley. The adjacent soundproof vocal booth and recording studio accommodates vocals, instruments, voice over, ADR, edit, mix and design. The studio is also capable of streaming live HD video and audio from the main stage or vocal booth. The amenities make the studio a comfortable experience for clients. Oversee productions or collaborate on projects from the mezzanine and lounge areas that look down into the main studio. For larger productions the studio can be sectioned off with dressing rooms, separate bathrooms and a green room.
PERMITTED USE Lessee has permitted access to main stage area, kitchen. greenroom, hair/makeup room, conference room, reception area and rooftop deck. Lessee is not permitted in the offices and storage areas/closets. Lessee will have limited access to the house a/v system via remote control and remote workstation. Lessor must approve any rearrangement of Facility. Lessor must approve all sets, backdrops, gobos, etc. Use of power tools & equipment resulting in dust is not permitted indoor. Spray, roller and brush painting or gluing is only permitted using drop cloths and/or covers. Studio thermostats are set at 68 degrees in the winter and 72 in the summer. Thermostats may not be changed. Furnace and studio fans may be turned off during recording. STAGE CONDITION Stage condition is as-is in a flat white finish. Stage shall be inspected before commencement of Production for visible damage, wear, scuffmarks, etc. During Production care must be taken to cover shoes, equipment, sets or traffic areas to protect the white finish and/or concrete floors. Stage shall be left in the same condition as before the Production. Lessee is liable for any damage to the main stage and concrete floors. CLEANING FEE Lessee agrees to clean the venue upon the end of the production to the same state in which Production commenced including removal of all trash to the dumpster. Lessee shall pay to Lessor a cleaning fee of $200.00 if the venue is not cleaned and returned to the state prior to the Production. RESTORATION If any damage occurs to the Facility, or if any repairs or replacements need to be made to the Facility as a result of Lessee's exercise of its rights under this Agreement, Lessee shall pay Lessor for any such damage, repairs, or replacements upon demand by Lessor. PARKING Parking is available on the street and/or the public parking garage at 17th and Broadway. Lessee shall notify all guests that parking in surrounding parking lots is not available. Lots to the north and south of 1730 Broadway are private property and may not be used.
