The space is available during business hours as well as after-hours; it adjoins the museum exhibit area. The space is part of a larger Museum exhibit floor. Except when utilizing the kitchen or restrooms, guests are expected to stay in the rented area. After 5pm rentals of the space will include the full museum floor at the rate of $350/hour (i.e., a rental of the pop-up space that goes from 2-7 will pay for 3 hours at $249 and 2 hours at $350). Please make sure you include set-up and clean-up time when booking. If you do not include set-up and clean-up time upfront we will add the additional time to your final costs. You will be charged from the time your vendors and guests enter the building to the time everyone associated with your event has vacated the building. If serving alcohol, you must either do so through a licensed caterer or you must have a Daily General License, obtainable from the California Alcoholic Beverage Control department (http://www.abc.ca.gov/forms/pdfspc.html). Please be respectful of the space, we are a functioning Museum and we house historical and rare machinery from the Industrial Revolution.
The Space was nice and clean with lots of natural light. We rented it out as a meeting space. If we had a large group in the meeting it was fine, but if there were only 3 or 4 people in the meeting it was very quiet and could hear the tours going on in the museum, which was a little distracting. Other than that, I have no complaints.
Perfect for our needs - thanks to Madeleine and team for providing us the space for a great event. Incredibly easy to coordinate and we’re hoping to use this space again many times.
Beautiful space that was definitely bright, quiet, and the industrial machinery added a very nice touch. Madeleine was very helpful with my many pre-booking questions and on-site assistance, and I would be overjoyed to work with her again!
Madeleine and her team were great hosts; very attentive to our needs! The space certainly met our expectations; spacious and bright for two days of customer meetings. With the space being offsite from where the conference was being held - Moscone West - we surprisingly did not receive any complaints from our team/customers about the distance. However, to note - when the space was completely filled it did get a bit stuffy and hot in the afternoon but with the door propped opened - the cool fresh air from outside made it manageable. Overall, successful event and will certain book again!
