This 2200-square-foot classic loft was recently renovated to preserve its utilitarian charm, and featured in New York Magazine. Built in 1876, the structure was once a firehouse. Today, it's a live/work space with soaring 19-foot ceilings, large skylight that ensures even light through the day, massive floor-to-ceiling windows facing east and west, original hardwood floors, renovated bath, and an abundance of impeccably preserved original details. It's very QUIET. The space consists of a -- (1) great room with 19 foot ceiling with the skylight above it, (2) open dining area that seats 12, formally, (3) open kitchen with a bar, and (4) separate office area on the east side of the loft (great as a client-holding area). The rate DOES NOT INCLUDE RENTAL OF THE UPPER LEVEL (this is a two story loft), where the BEDROOM quarters are. If you need a bedroom setting for your shoot, please indicate that when you reach out. The hosts were kind and considerate. The space is absolutely stunning. It has the beautiful furniture and natural lighting of a small formal setting complimented by colors and textures of an inviting home. I would definitely book again.
A wonderful time and great hosts R+S+B. The space was beautiful and conductive to film shooting. It's a 3 floor walkup but that's not a problem if you are mentally prepared to bring your equipment up. Great huge doors allow for ease of load-in. It's also close to a lot of great stuff in the neighborhood like Peck's Coffee bar, a walgreens, and many restaurants.
Sanja's place is perfect for our film shoot. It is exactly how the pictures look like. The place is bright and spacious. Sanja always replies my messages very fast. She is a really responsible host. On the day we arrive, she provided us an info sheet with everything we need to know. She also taught us how to move around the furnitures in the most efficient way. I would not hesitate to book her place again.
The space was just as it looks in the photos. Sanja was quick to respond to all of our questions and made the process quick and painless. Would recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful space to shoot their next project!
This was a beautiful location with great natural light. Sanja was great to work with. Easy to reach and communicative throughout the whole process. Would definitely shoot here again and recommend the location as well!
