This is a bright and modern second floor space with hardwood floors and charming unobstructed views of the street and neighborhood garden from full-wall windows. Our (private) cafe is 625 square feet, with marble tables and Viennese chairs, seating up to 40 people. The space can be used for corporate events, presentations, lectures, classes or workshops, for social occasions like baby showers, anniversaries, children’s birthday parties, dinner parties and small wedding receptions. Our upright piano (we no longer have the Steinway baby grand) enables the venue to be used as a piano studio, musical rehearsal space, or even a small private concert hall. A full kitchen an elevator flight/2 sets of stairs down. Located 5 minutes walk from the C train ot 10 minutes from 1,2,3 line. Please include set up and clean up time when booking your time slot. Tables and chairs for 40 ppl included. High definition stereo sound through Wireless Bluetooth Portable Speaker with HD sound and bass is included. Refrigeration is free of charge (either in the space in the cooler or in a fridge an elevator flight down). The kitchen is available for cooking at $50 per hour. Projector and screen is available for an additional $60 per event. A coffee urn for 40 ppl with disposable cups is available in-house ($60). Hard liquor, DJs, and outside sound system are not allowed. We have 2 hour minimum for weekday events and events that don't involve food. And 3 hour minimum for weekend events and events that involve food.

Guests may cancel their Booking until 7 days before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price. Guests may cancel their Booking between 7 days and 24 hours before the event start time and receive a 50% refund (excluding Fees) of their Booking Price. Overall the space did appear as advertised and Olga was flexible. My only concern was the bluetooth that did not work on my first space visit. When I reported this to Olga she expressed they had three bluetooth and I did not need to bring mine. When I asked if the bluetooth did not work on the day of my reception what was the plan there was no response. On the day of the reception the bluetooth did not work and we spent the early part of the event with no sound. I understand sound needs to be controlled but this should be clearly expressed. If music is of importance to your event have that conversation prior to booking.

We had our daughter's 3rd birthday party here. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. They helped set up for the party by bringing out an extra table to set up the food. The venue itself is cute and charming with plentiful chairs and tables as well as an easy access to the bathroom.

The venue was clean and comfortable. I would definitely book again. However, I have to say one thing. 40 may be a little bit too tight for that space. We had around 30 and felt that is the max we could comfortably fit into space.
