The loft is located in a historic New York building; the facade has not changed in over a hundred years. The space has been featured in several film/photo shoots. There is ample space in the private hallway to stage all equipment. *Freight elevator *High wooden beamed ceilings *Exposed red brick/hardwood floors *Dining table and chairs
If you move things, please move them back. Trash must be placed in black trash bags and left in hallway. If it is after 8pm please place trash outside on the curb. If it's not very much trash, just throw in city garbage outside. Make sure elevator is locked before you leave and slide keys back under the front door. NO SMOKING!
First off the positive..The Host is very accessible and friendly. easy to load in with freight elevator.. The space has a lot of light and character.. Negative.. The two couches where I wanted to shoot are both broken.. the leg on one and the arm on the other.. the space had personal belongings from luggage to items almost everywhere, so to shoot it was very time consuming to move everything out of sight.. It is a ok space.. could be a great space.. but not worth the money for all the items and falling apart furniture...
Me and and my wife rented Layla's loft for our co-ed baby shower and we were very happy with the space. Layla was responsive and accommodating and answered all of my questions in a timely manner. We will definitely keep this space in mind for our next event. Thanks again!
We had a great experience filming here. The loft is spacious and quiet enough for an interview. The freight elevator was a huge plus for us. Layla is a terrific host! She was super responsive and accommodating.
Hello, Overall, the space sufficed for what I needed it for, which was a photo-shoot. What sold us on this space was the purple couch and windows--the lighting seemed to be great. However, the couch was covered in what appeared to be cat hair. I had to leave the site to purchase a lent-roller. Also, the couch was broken. The furniture was arranged differently from the picture, which was okay, however we had to reaarange the furniture. My recommendation would be for Peerspace hosts to fully inform clients of major changes.
