Our unique space is an old Brick and Timber loft with building elements of warm, exposed brick and hardwood floors. The open 2,100 square feet space with 12' ceilings is great for intimate events and located close to downtown Oakland, Jack London Sq. and great restaurants. The corner building is located in the quiet Prescott Neighborhood and features large walls of windows with lots of controllable natural light. The space worked out nicely for us - Mick was very accommodating and nice - he'll take care of you. Some notes on our shoot - we were filming for 3 days Friday - Sunday. We were recording audio/speaking for 16 hrs. For the most part this worked fine for us using a lapel mic and putting some sound dampening blankets up, as there is echo in the space. We had to cut a few times due to the occasional hotrod going by. One time I did have to go outside to ask a neighbor twice to stop blaring their music (basic common courtesy) - so weekday recording would work better (that was on a Saturday). The lot is spacious, large backdrop, and many C-stands and boxes available. Nice kitchen area. The end result after some post processing is that the speaker will sound like they are in a large room, but not an auditorium if that makes sense - I took most of the echo out. If you are recording audio just keep that in mind. Otherwise an enjoyable experience and fit the bill. Cheers.

I absolutely loved working with Mick and the space. All of my guests loved the vibe and had no problem finding parking. The space literally has everything you need, and Mick is pretty flexible in regards to moving the furniture around to fit your needs. I would definitely recommend and re-book I had a Group of 14 women on a Monday evening after 5:30pm.
