Our unique space is an old Brick and Timber loft with building elements of warm, exposed brick and hardwood floors. The open 2,100 square feet space with 12' ceilings is great for intimate events and located close to downtown Oakland, Jack London Sq. and great restaurants. The corner building is located in the quiet Prescott Neighborhood and features large walls of windows with lots of controllable natural light. No Smoking anywhere. Smoking is NOT permitted anywhere inside the property. This includes E-Cigarettes, Vaping or smoking of any kind-This is a smoke free zone. Please leave studio, kitchen, and bathroom as clean as found. Trash must be taken out at the end of your booking and placed in the outdoor dumpster. All rental time should include set up and clean up time; consider your set up and clean up time when calculating hours you need in the space. Please inquire for details about staffing if needed. Be respectful of other tenants in the building. No loud music. Low volume music is okay. The hallway is only to be used for access and egress to the loft only. Please do not hang out unnecessarily in the hallway . We ask that that doors to the building are never to be left open unattended-always close behind you. No nails, screws, staples or penetrating items may be used to attach or affix anything to the building walls or structures. No glitter, No confetti, No Holi powder. Children or adults under the age of 21 must be accompanied by a person over the age of 21 Additional equipment rentals to be made in advance. Events must be private. **Bookings that go past 10:00pm will be charged to 1.5 the hourly rate. **Violations of these rules can result in a fine of $350 (especially the smoking.)
Guests may cancel their Booking until 30 days before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price. Guests may cancel their Booking between 30 days and 7 days before the event start time and receive a 50% refund (excluding Fees) of their Booking Price. I had my baby shower here a week ago and this place was perfect and spacious for the event. Throughout the duration of the event, I had about 50 guests come and go, but never felt very packed at all! The place is a lovely, blank canvas with classic NY style bricks making it easy to personalize/decorate. The host, Mick, was very helpful with touring the space prior to the event and set up/take down the day of the event. Little things like tips on lighting for our photo booth, providing large trash/compost/recycling receptacles, and ideas to fully utilize the space were greatly appreciated. He was also extremely quick to respond (seriously within minutes!) to all my questions through PeerSpace. Parking initially looks a little limited, but my guests had no problem finding spots within a block or two of the rental space on a Saturday. The spot is very easily accessible through the front of the building, then a few steps in...so no wandering to find the room or climbing stairs. I would absolutely recommend this location for parties/events!

Mick made booking and using his loft for my daughter's first birthday super easy! The loft was spacious, clean, with plenty of street parking and tables and chairs for us to use. Although we did not use it, It was great to have a fully equipped kitchen. Mick was responsive and very helpful and would I definitely book the space again!
