THE STUDIO: This loft culinary studio is a wonderful space for classes, social gatherings up to 50 people, workshops and dinner parties. It is a bright 600 square feet, with 14 foot ceilings and a bank of tall windows. The space is air-conditioned and/or heated. The kitchen is professionally stocked for full service. Two rolling tables seat 16 to 18 people each, on stools. There are also 4, 6-foot folding tables, which can seat up to 32 people. We have a total of 8 stools and 24 folding chairs, in house. We are also happy to help with rental of additional chairs, or dishes/glassware/etc. The high ceilings and original factory hardwood floors and beams make this a great gathering space--one you are welcome to decorate--but please note that it is not a raw space. By day, the studio is a working test kitchen and teaching space and some items--such as the appliances--cannot be moved around. There are two bathrooms in the hallway, just around the corner from the studio. Neighborhood amenities include several grocery stores as well as great restaurants. The Sunset Park greenway at the waterfront is two blocks away. Excellent subway/bus access, as well as ample free parking in the evening and on weekends. CATERING: Food and alcohol are permitted in the space. We offer our own on-site catering (in which case, we are sometimes able to offer discounts on space rental--please ask!) We also welcome outside, full service, insured caterers. If you'd like to bring your own food (without a caterer), we will guide you with a friendly cleaning checklist. For heavy kitchen use, beyond reheating and storing food, we also charge a $100 cleaning fee. If using a licensed caterer who you’ve hired for full set up and clean up, we may waive the cleaning fee. Please, no smoking. MUSIC: You are welcome to bring your own music, including live music, though we don't think this is the right space for a raucous dance party. The building itself is quiet; home to amazing artists, collectors, and small manufacturers.
We will always have staff on hand to answer questions and provide assistance. But it is the responsibility of the renter to make sure the building and studio space are well maintained and cleaned. Upon arrival, we provide you with a friendly Closing Checklist to help you along. We love our space and take great care of it; we hope you'll do the same. Food and alcohol are permitted in the space. Outside caterers must provide insurance to cover the space for the event. Please, no smoking.

We rented this space to do a large scale baking project. The space was perfect. It had a large clean work area with 2 ovens that allowed us to get a lot done in a short period of time. Ronna was very accommodating and helpful. I would definitely use this space again.
Ronna’s kitchen was beautiful! She was very helpful and responded quickly to all of my questions. Her kitchen was gorgeous and had everything we needed! I would recommend using this space to anyone, it was the perfect amount of space and equipment for my group of 20.
