The building is located on the busy 8th avenue, so there is no simple parking at the front of the building, other than commercial vehicle metered parking in front of the building and up and down the street. But there are also plenty of indoor or outdoor lots in the area.

There are no windows in the space at all, so there is no outside light coming in anywhere in the space and lighting is completely controllable. The rooms are mainly lit by Xmas lights, as well as a few regular white bulbs, but these can all be shut off if needed. The one thing to note is that the Xmas lights can not be partially on or off, since they are strung together, so they either have to be completely on or off.

The main room of the space is very well soundproofed, but the 'lobby' and the 'green hallway' are not. The building is the Music Building, which is made up of rehearsal studios, so even though the main room is very well soundproofed and you can't hear the street, if musicians are rehearsing on the floor above there can be a slight bleed. Also note that if you use the AC or fans, you will also get noise, but they can be shut off manually.

Stairs, Elevator, Freight Elevator

The space is located on the mezzanine level, so you either have to walk half flight of stairs up to load in, or you can take the elevator/freight elevator to the second floor and walk your equipment half a floor down to the space. The building is located on the busy 8th avenue, so there is no specific loading zone or valid parking at the front of the building (though there is commercial vehicle metered parking in front of the building). For loading, if you have someone staying with the van/car at the front of the building it is easier to load in and the police are usually good with not giving out tickets due to the situation.

The 'lobby' or the 'green hallway', or the back room if you request for an extra $30/hr

There are plenty of outlets, no one has ever noted they needed more. I do not know the power rating but usually powerful amplifiers and musical equipment are used in the room without tripping the circuit breaker. The only time the circuit breaker was tripped was if the AC and vacuum were plugged into the same outlet. The circuit breaker is located in the main room, and easily accessible.

The space comes as is, and guests are fully responsible for clean-up. PA is available for all events, with connector for smart-phone/laptop/DJ equip, etc. Full backline (drums, amps, keys) are broken down for events to allow for more space for the event, but are available at an additional $30/hr fee if requested (NOTE: backline must be rented for full duration of event). The space is located on 8th Ave bet 38/39 St, in the heart of Hell's Kitchen/Midtown West and therefore does not have any street parking, but there are plenty of parking garages/lots in the area. The space is one flight up from the ground floor, accessible via one set of stairs. We hire someone to be on hand and on-call for all events in the space, and is included in the fee. They will help on-site, with questions about the space and rules, guests, and any issues that might arise during the event, to help make it a successful event. GUEST RULES: * Please note that event time booked INCLUDES SET-UP AND CLEAN-UP. * Guest who booked the event is solely responsible for the space during event and clean-up. The space must be left in the exact same condition/layout as it was at the start of the event or a clean-up fee will be issued. * Guest who booked the event must be present for the entire event and is in charge of all guests and their conduct, and let them know of the space rules. If someone abuses the space in any way, or becomes an issue or liability, they must be removed from the building, and the person on-call for the event notified. HOUSE RULES: - NO SMOKING in any area of the space (but there is a smoking area on the floor above space). - GUESTS MUST STAY WITHIN SPACE (unless using the bathroom/smoking area) and are absolutely not allowed on any other floor of the building. - NO BEVERAGES ON ANY OF THE EQUIPMENT in the space. - Event must be 21+ if alcohol is provided. - Person on duty for the event is there to ensure safety, and therefore has the right to remove anyone who might become an issue or liability, as well as cap the event if it goes beyond capacity. - IF GUEST NEEDS SOMETHING MOVED in the space, Superintendent must be asked to move item(s) to ensure no damage to the space. - X-mas lights in main room must all remain as is and not partially unplugged. If Guest prefers to have them all off, they can, but must provide lighting. - Everything on walls must remain as is and not removed or damaged. - No confetti or decorations that might cause damage to the space. - No smoke machine use in the space. AFTER EVENT: - Must throw out all garbage in provided trash bag, then take all trash downstairs to the lobby and leave next to main trash can. Make sure there are NO LIQUIDS OR HALF-FILLED BEVERAGES THROWN OUT IN TRASH BAG, or you will be charged for clean-up. - Room must be left completely clean and in the same condition it was found in. There is a vacuum available if needed.

Furniture can be moved, but must be moved by the event manager who we provide. Wall decorations can not be moved, since the space is almost museum-like in its history of rock music, but they can be covered as long as the decorations are not ripped or harmed in any way.
