Hi there! This space is truly a hidden gem in the East Bay. The Creative Space is 750 square feet of beautiful exposed timber, brick, and concrete that has been recently renovated. We've hosted many special events and celebrations of all types and we're happy to work with you and customize the space to fit your specific event needs. We have seven handcrafted designer tables and table seating for up to 30 people at a time. There is also additional bench seating around the venue for more capacity. Weekday (Monday - Friday afternoon) hourly rate is $79/hour! Weekend rate (Friday night through Sunday night) is $96/hour, as listed. The Creative Space supports local artists and features gorgeous handcrafted tables, fine art, and decor...all created by local Bay Area residents! We provide a Bluetooth speaker system, wireless LED colored lighting that you can customize to your color scheme, a home cinema projector and wallscreen, smart locks, Amazon echo, and a high-end laptop. There are 14 outlets spread around the venue as well. The Creative Space is located in the West Berkeley neighborhood. West Berkeley is an up-and-coming part of the East Bay that is full of young families, artists, and technology companies. There is street-parking available, both metered and non-metered...and best of all the venue is extremely accessible from the freeways and highways (right of I-80!). I am so excited to share this wonderful space with the Peerspace network. I know you will love it! We'll do everything we can to make sure your event is a hit. Thanks so much, Ben
Weekday (Monday - Friday afternoon) hourly rate is $79/hour! Weekend rate (Friday night through Sunday night) is $96/hour, as listed. Only the host of the event may use the tenant-only private parking. You are responsible for removing all items you bring into the space, including garbage and recycling. Basically, we operate a "leave no trace" policy. We will clean thoroughly before you rent so that is sparkling upon your arrival. We will take care of a full cleaning after the event, but ask that you remove anything you've brought in. You may bring in any food you like. You may bring your own catering service as well. No live music. You will be responsible for any significant damage done to the facilities or products in the space. Normal wear and tear, however, is not a problem.
I work for a non profit and we routinely conduct a staff retreat every quarter. It’s hard to find spaces that’s affordable and has the character to ease the idea of work. Tried peerspace for the first time and loved the space. It’s a store front turned meeting space with huge windows to let all that sunlight in. So if you don’t mind people walking back and forth peeking once in a while then this space can work for you. My staff did have to pay for parking because of meters but you can also park around the corner if your willing to walk like a couple of my staff did. Sarah was awesome. Thank you Sarah and PeerSpace! Will definitely return in the future!
Booked this venue for a bridal shower, everyone loved it and the space. Has big windows that let in the natural light. Easily fit our party of 25 with plenty of extra space, and seating. iPad was provided to hook up to speaker system and play music which was nice. We arrived about 5-10 mins early, and Ben was on time as well and really helpful. The location is really convenient as well, there was plenty of street/meter parking and open spots on a Saturday mid-morning. 1 tip for anyone looking to book: if you plan on having food, bring trash bags. There is a trash and recycle bin in the venue, but no bags provided. Since bookers/renters are required to take out all items and leave no trash, it would have gotten really messy (especially with the food) if we didn't bring any bags.
